After nine years of working in a leading position in industrial R & D, Professor Leidich was appointed to a professorship at the Technical University of Chemnitz. Since 1993 he is head of the Department of Engineering Design. In 2009 the interdisciplinary IPE lab was initiated, which is also under his direction.
